Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 Trial Reset....

You can reset Kaspersky any time you want with this crack.
This crack just delete the registry keys/files that deal with the licensing.
There is no need to delete the old key.

Steps to reset Kaspersky 2010

1. Open Kaspersky . Go to Settings & Options , Disable Kaspersky's "Self-Defense" feature. To disable the "Self-Defense"

2. Exit Kaspersky.

3. Execute the crack and Click Left Side Button

4. To uninstall, just delete the file.

NOTE: If you get an "activation server is unavailable" (or no internet) after executing the crack, try disabling/enabling your ethernet card. (This is the problem with the software and not the crack.) Also, don't apply the crack while Kaspersky is updating.

HISTORY OF LINUX

HISTORY

In 1964, the Massachusetts Institute of

Technology, AT&T Bell Labs, and General
Electric started worked on an experimental
operating system called Multics (Multiplexed
Information and Computing Service), which was
designed to run on the GE-645 mainframe
computer. www.multicians.org
Bell Labs dropped out in 1969.

One of the developers on the Bell Labs team,

Ken Thompson, continued to develop for the
GE-645 mainframe, and wrote a game for that
computer called Space Travel. However, he
found that the game was too slow on the GE
machine.
Thompson thus re-wrote the game in assembly

language for Digital Equipment Corporation's
PDP-7 with help from Dennis Ritchie. This
experience, combined with his work on the
Multics project, led Thompson to start a new
operating system for the PDP-7.
GE-600 series mainframeKen Thompson (left) with Dennis Ritchie
DEC PDP-7
In 1970 the project was named Unix

www.unix.org
In 1973, the decision was made to re-write Unix

in the C programming language. The change
meant that it was easier to modify Unix to work
on other machines, and other developers could
create variations. The code was now more
compact, leading to accelerated development
of Unix. AT&T made Unix available to
universities and commercial firms, as well as to
the United States government under licenses.
The licenses included all source code including
the machine-dependent parts of the kernel.
1974 Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD,

sometimes called Berkeley Unix) is the Unix
descended distribution by the University of
California, Berkeley. www.freebsd.org
AT&T licensed UNIX System, for commercial

use, the first version launching in 1982, and
continued to issue licenses for older Unix
versions. Since the newer commercial UNIX
licensing terms were not as favorable for
academic use as the older versions of Unix, the
Berkeley researchers continued to develop
BSD Unix as an alternative to UNIX System.
In 1983, Richard Stallman started the GNU

project with the goal of creating a free UNIX-
like, operating system. Two years later he
created the Free Software Foundation (FSF)
and developed the GNU general Public License
(GPL), in order to spread software freely. In this
way the GNU software was developed very
quickly by many people. Within a short time a
large number of programs were developed, so
that by the early 1990s there was almost
enough available to create a full operating
system. However, a kernel was still missing.
www.gnu.org www.fsf.org
MINIX, a Unix-like system intended for

academic use, was released by Andrew S.
Tanenbaum in 1987 Vrije University,
Amsterdam in the Netherlands. While source
code for the system was available, modification
and redistribution were restricted.
www.minix3.org
AT&T filed a lawsuit in the early 1990s against

the University of Berkeley, which strongly
limited the development of BSD and greatly
slowed development. Thus the early 1990s
produced no complete, free system. The future
of BSD was uncertain. The GNU project was
gradually developing but, it lacked a well-
behaved UNIX Kernel.
Richard Stallman Andrew S. Tanenbaum In 1991, Linus Torvalds began to work on a

non-commercial replacement for MINIX while
he was attending the University of Helsinki.
This eventually became the Linux kernel.
Linux was dependent on the Minix and GNU

first.
In order to make the Linux kernel compatible

with the components from the GNU Project,
Torvalds initiated a switch from his original
license (which prohibited commercial
redistribution) to the GNU GPL. Linux and GNU
developers worked to integrate GNU
components with Linux to make a fully
functional and free operating system.
Linus Benedict Torvalds What is LINUX ?

It's a kernel
www.kernel.org
What is a kernel ?

In computer science, the kernel is the central
component of most computer operating systems.
It's responsibilities include managing the system's
resources (the communication between hardware
and software components).
A Linux distribution, often simply distribution or

distro, is a member of the Linux family of Unix-
like operating systems comprising the Linux
kernel, the non-kernel parts of the GNU
operating system, and assorted other software.
Most (if not all) of the kernel and software
packages are free and open source.

Custom GRUB splash image in Fedora/Redhat/Centos

  • Log or Switch in to the root account
  • Get an image file to use for the new splash image (can be some wallpaper in jpg, png format)
  • Check whether ImageMagick rpm is installed
# rpm -q ImageMagick
  • If it's not installed you have to install it first
# yum -y install ImageMagick
  • Then, Assuming the image is in the root's home folder & the image name is "myboot.jpg"
# cd
# convert myboot.jpg -resize 640x480! -colors 14 -depth 8 myboot.xpm
# ls
  • Now you will be able to see a file call "myboot.xpm"
  • Then you have to gzip it.
# gzip myboot.xpm
# ls
  • Now you will be able to see a file call "myboot.xpm.gz"
  • Then you have to copy it to "/boot/grub" folder
# cp myboot.xpm.gz /boot/grub
  • Then you have to edit "grub.conf" file with your favorite text editor, I'll use "nano" text editor
# nano /etc/grub.conf

Edit the following line

splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

to

splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/myboot.xpm.gz

NOTE- DON'T EDIT ANYOTHER PARAMETER OF THE LINE, ONLY CHANGE THE IMAGE FILE NAME.

save & exit
  • Then reboot your system
# reboot
  • Then you'll be able to see the new GRUB spalsh image during the startup.

CentOS 5 Repositories

What is a Repository?

A software repository (sometimes abbreviated as a repo) is a storage location from which software packages may be retrieved and installed on a computer. Many software publishers and other organizations maintain servers on the Internet for this purpose, either free of charge or for a subscription fee.

CentOS Software Repositories (Official)

These repositories are already configured by default in CentOS.

Base repo - The packages that comes with the release media. (CDs or the DVD)
Packages in the Base repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/os

Addons repo - The packages used/produced in the build but not released with the release media.
Packages in the Addons repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/addons

Extras repo - The additional packages that may be useful. (Non Essential)
Packages in Extras repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/extras

Centosplus repo
- This repository is for items that actually upgrade certain base CentOS components. This repo will change CentOS to not be exactly like RHEL. (NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RHEL, DISABLED BY DEFAULT)

Packages in Centosplus repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/centosplus

Contrib repo - Packages made by CentOS users (from CentOS 5.3 DISABLED BY DEFAULT)
Packges in Contrib repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5.3/contrib

Updates repo - The updated packages of the above repos.
Packages in Updates repo - http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/updates

CentOS Software Repositories (3rd Party)

These repositories are not by default configured in CentOS, You have to manually configure them.

RPMForge repo - Maintained by a software developer call "dag wieers". He is a member of the CentOS development team. Contains lots of 3rd party software for CentOS and RHEL.
Packages in RPMForge repo - http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages.php

To configure the RPMForge repo you have to download and install the following rpm package.

For CentOS 5 x86_64 - http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS//rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm

ELrepo repo - Repository containing 3rd party device drivers for CentOS/RHEL (version5 onwards).
Main Site - http://elrepo.org

To configure the ELrepo repo you have to download and install the following rpm package.

For CentOS 5 i386/x86_64 - http://elrepo.org/elrepo-release-0.1-1.el5.elrepo.noarch.rpm

Since by default the repo is disabled, you have to enable it.

#cd /etc/yum.repos.d
#nano elrepo.repo (you can use your favorite text editor instead of nano)

Edit the following

[elrepo]
name=ElRepo.org Community Enterprise Linux Repository - el5
baseurl=http://elrepo.org/linux/elrepo/el5/$basearch/
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-elrepo.org

RealVNC Enterprise v4.5.1 Incl Keymaker-CORE

VNC is remote control software which allows you to view and fully interact with one computer desktop (the “VNC server”) using a simple program (the “VNC viewer”) on another computer desktop anywhere on the Internet. The two computers don’t even have to be the same type, so for example you can use VNC to view a Windows Vista desktop at the office on a Linux or Mac computer at home. For ultimate simplicity, there is even a Java viewer, so that any desktop can be controlled remotely from within a browser without having to install software.

VNC is in widespread active use by many millions throughout industry, academia and privately. There are several versions to choose from, including a free version and some substantially enhanced commercial versions.
